AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of receipt and file of the purchase of a 2021 Falcon
Asphalt Hot Box Trailer from Logan Contractors of Urbandale in the
amount of $28,976.00.

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: This was originally scheduled to be a Mastic
Patching Machine however, staff feels the Asphalt Hot Box Trailer could also be used to
fix potholes during winter months whereas the Mastic machine can only be used for 7 to 8
months out of the year.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: $28,976.00
This is scheduled equipment from Street Department budget.

RECOMMENDATION: Approve the purchase of a 2022 Falcon Asphalt Hot Box Trailer from
Logan Contractors. This is state bid pricing.
