RESOLUTION 2021-465
APPROVING INSTALLATION OF STREETLIGHT PROPOSAL FROM
MIDAMERICAN ENERGY COMPANY [NW DOUGLAS PARKWAY BETWEEN
NW 10TH STREET AND NW 2ND STREET PROJECT, WMIS 2902107]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, MidAmerican Energy proposes to install one (1) 250 Watt, fifteen (15) 150
Watt 150 Watt LED equivalent lights on 34' galvanized steel poles with 8' masts and eight
(8) 150 Watt LED equivalent lights on 34.5' galvanized steel poles with 8' twin mast as part
of the NW Douglas Parkway Expansion project; AND,
WHEREAS, the street lights will be installed on steel poles and will be served by
underground conductors but will be billed to the City at the wood pole, overhead rate at a total
cost of $249,262.74;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that
the Installation of Streetlight Proposal from MidAmerican Energy for the NW Douglas
Parkway Expansion Project, WMIS 2902107] is hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved this the 1" day of
November, 2021.
