RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS FOR THE HICKMAN ROAD
(US 6) & BERKSHIRE PKWY/SE WACO PL INTERSECTION
PROJECT
WHEREAS, on the 27 h day of September, 2021, plans, specifications, form of contract
and estimate of cost were filed with the Clerk for the construction of certain public
improvements described in general as the Hickman Road (US 6) & Berkshire Pkwy/SE Waco PI
Intersection Project;
WHEREAS, on September 20, 2021, the Council determined that it was necessary and
advisable to construct certain public improvements described in general as the Hickman Road
(US 6) & Berkshire Pkwy/SE Waco PI Intersection Project;
WHEREAS, notice of hearing on plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of
cost for the public improvements was published as required by law;
WHEREAS, on November 2, 2021, the date fixed as the date for receiving bids, all bids
submitted were either defective or exceeded the engineer's estimate of cost; and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined it is in the best interest of the City to reject all
bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WAUKEE, STATE OF IOWA:
Section 1. That all bids received for the construction of certain public improvements
described in general as construction of the Hickman Road (US 6) & Berkshire Pkwy/SE Waco PI
Intersection Project, be and are hereby rejected.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 15th day of November, 2021.
