SPECIAL MEETING
March 13, 2020
A. Call to Order — The special meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor Clarke
at 12:01 p.m. at Waukee City Hall, 230 W. Hickman Rd.
B. Roll Call — The following members were present: Mayor Courtney Clarke (via telephone); Council
Members Anna Bergman (via telephone), R. Charles Bottenberg (via telephone), Chris Crone (via
telephone), Larry R. Lyon, Ben Sinclair. Absent: None.
Also in attendance: City Administrator Tim Moerman, Human Resource Director Michelle Lindsay, City
Clerk Rebecca D. Schuett.
C. Agenda Approval — Council Member Lyon moved to approve the agenda; seconded by Council
Member Sinclair. Results of vote: Ayes: Bergman, Bottenberg, Crone, Lyon, Sinclair. Nays: None.
Motion carried 5 — 0.
D. Action Items:
1) Resolution: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving release agreement —
Council Member Lyon moved to approve the resolution; seconded by Council Member Sinclair.
City Administrator Moerman briefly reviewed the agreement. Results of vote: Ayes: Bergman,
Bottenberg, Crone, Lyon, Sinclair. Nays: None. Motion carried 5 — 0. (Resolution #2020-081)
E. Comments — City Administrator Moerman stated that the City's coronavirus strategy would be
communicated with elected officials later in the day.
Council Member Lyon moved to adjourn;
Motion carried 5 — 0.
Meeting Adjourned at 12:04 p.m.
