AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting January 3, 2022 as the date of
public hearing on a Lease Agreement [Finn & Laughlin Family Dentistry]
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City currently has a lease with Finn & Laughlin
Family Dentistry for an approximately 2,000 square foot space located at the west end of the City Hall
building. The current lease does not expire until 2031, however, the tenants are proposing to invest in
a major renovation to the interior of the space and have asked for an additional five-year extension to
the current lease.
Leases on commercial property owned by the City require that a public hearing be held prior to
approval.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff recommends a public hearing date be scheduled for
January 3, 2022 to consider the proposed lease.
RECOMMENDATION: Set the hearing date.
