RESOLUTION 2021-505
APPROVING THE INDEPENDENT AUDITOR'S FINAL REPORT
FOR FISCAL, YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2021
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is an incorporated City within Dallas County,
Iowa; AND,
WHEREAS, the City Council of Waukee awarded a three-year contract for audit
services to Denman and Company, LLP on May 6, 2019; AND,
WHEREAS, Denman and Company, LLP has audited the FY2021 books and finds them
to be substantially in compliance with state laws; AND,
WHEREAS, Denman and Company, LLP has prepared the FY2021 report to be in
compliance with the GASB reporting requirements; AND,
WHEREAS, there were no recommendations in Findings Related to the Financial
Statements and one recommendation in Findings Related to Required Statutory Reporting
for exceeding the budget to prepay a debt; AND,
WHEREAS, representatives of Denman and Company, LLP presented their findings to
the Mayor and Council at the December 20, 2021 Council Meeting.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 20t' day of December 2021 that it hereby approves the auditor's Financial
Report of General Purpose Financial Statements and Supplementary Information
Schedule of Findings FY2021.
