RESOLUTION 2022-002
APPROVING LEASE AGREEMENT (BUSINESS PROPERTY)
BETWEEN FINN & LAUGHLIN FAMILY DENTISTRY, PC, AND
THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, on September 12, 2011, the Waukee City Council approved a Lease Agreement
(Business Property) between Finn & Laughlin Family Dentistry, P.C. (the "Tenant") and the City
of Waukee (the "Landlord") for property addressed as 238 W. Hickman Road, Waukee; AND,
WHEREAS, the Tenant proposes an extensive interior remodel and has requested a lease
extension to protect their investment in the project; AND,
WHEREAS, the proposed lease extends the term of the agreement to August 31, 2036, modifies
the base rent for the extended term, and includes provisions for assignment of the lease to a
successor entity owned and controlled by one of the dentists practicing at the property at this
time;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the
Lease Agreement (Business Property) between Finn & Laughlin Family Dentistry, PC, and the
City of Waukee, Iowa, is hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved the Yd day of January,
2022
