RESOLUTION 2022-025
APPROVING AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA, AND
BIRD RIDES, INC.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, Waukee Parks & Recreation Department staff have been in discussions
with Bird Rides, Inc., about a pilot program to provide and maintain a fleet of a minimum
of fifty (50) electric scooters for use in Waukee for users age 18 or older; AND,
WHEREAS, the term of the pilot program agreement shall be March 1, 2022, through
March 31, 2023, and is at no cost to the City of Waukee; AND,
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has reviewed a proposed agreement and finds it
satisfactory.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that the
Agreement Between City of Waukee, Iowa, and Bird Rides, Inc., is hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved the 17th day of
January, 2022.
