Call to Order — The work session meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor Clarke at 5:17 p.m. at Waukee City Hall, 230 W. Hickman Rd. B. Roll Call — The following members were present: Mayor Courtney Clarke; Council Members R. Charles Bottenberg, Chris Crone, Anna Bergman Pierce (electronically), Ben Sinclair. Absent: Council Member Larry R. Lyon. (Mayor Clarke left at 6:39 p.m.) Also in attendance: City Administrator Tim Moerman, Assistant City Administrator Brad Deets, Finance Director Linda Burkhart, Community Development Director Andy Kass, Public Works Director/City Engineer Rudy Koester, Parks & Recreation Director Matt Jermier, Library Director Kristine Larson, Human Resources Director Michelle Lindsay, IT Director Son Le, Fire Chief Clint Robinson, Fire Captain Tomme Tysdal, Police Chief John Quinn, Police Lt. Jeremy Long, City Clerk Rebecca D. Schuett. C. Agenda Approval — Council Member Bottenberg moved to approve the agenda; seconded by Council Member Crone. Results of vote: Ayes: Bottenberg, Crone, Pierce, Sinclair. Nays: None. Absent: Lyon. Motion carried 4 — 0 — 1. D. Work Session: 1) Waukee Public Safety Facility visioning — Danielle Hermann, Joe Feldman, Thomas Thatcher and Tate Walker with OPN Architects, as well as Angie Pfannkuch with Sidekick Development, lead the mayor and council through the visioning process. The discussion focused on design for community, wellness, energy, economy, change and integration. (Mayor Clarke left at 6:39 p.m.) The OPN Architects representatives also reviewed the next steps in the site and concept design process. E. Comments Council Member Sinclair moved to adjourn; seconded by Council Member Crone. Ayes: All. Nays: None. Motion carried 4 — 0.
