RESOLUTION 2022-045
APPROVING COMMUNITY ATTRACTION AND TOURISM (CAT) GRANT
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VISION IOWA BOARD AND THE CITY OF
WAUKEE [ALL-INCLUSIVE AREA AT TRIUMPH PARK]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee has successfully been granted an Iowa Economic Development
Authority (IEDA) Community Attraction and Tourism (CAT) grant for funding for the Triumph
Park all-inclusive area; AND,
WHEREAS, the award is in the amount of $200,000.00; AND,
WHEREAS, a grant agreement between the Vision Iowa Board and the City of Waukee must be
approved and executed in order to receive the CAT grant funds.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
7th day of February, 2022, that it hereby authorizes the execution and delivery by the City of the
Community Attraction and Tourism (CAT) Grant Agreement and such other documents as the
Vision Iowa Board or the Vision Iowa Board's legal counsel may reasonably request.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Mayor Courtney Clarke is hereby authorized to execute
the Agreement and such other documents that are necessary to bind the City.
