RESOLUTION 2021-083
APPROVING IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ADDENDUM TO
AGREEMENT NO.4-21-USTEP-004 [HICKMAN ROAD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT,
SE WACO PLACEBERKSHIRE PARKWAY TO SE BRICK DRIVE]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Clive and the Iowa Department of Transportation entered into an
agreement to provide funds through the Urban -State Traffic Engineering Program (U-STEP), a
cooperative program for safety or operation improvements on primary roadways AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee has since included the intersection of Hickman Rd/SE Brick
Dr into the project due to development and this project scope change has now made this project a
linear improvement and ultimately increases the maximum funding amount from $200,000 to
$400,000; AND,
WHEREAS, the Addendum is between the Cities of Clive and Waukee and the Iowa
Department of Transportation. This addendum reflects the current concept of this project which
is subject to modification by mutual agreement between the Cities and the Department;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the
Addendum to Agreement No. 4-21-USTEP-004 [Hickman Road Improvements Project, SE
Waco Place/Berkshire Parkway to SE Brick Drive] is hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved the 7 h day of March,
2022.
