RESOLUTION 2022-145
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF CITY OF WAUKEE
REPRESENTATION TO THE WASTEWATER RECLAMATION AUTHORITY (WRA)
POLICY BOARD FOR THE REMAINDER OF 2022
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, according to the provisions of the 28E agreement the City of Waukee holds with
the Wastewater Reclamation Authority (WRA), the City must annually appoint or reappoint
representatives and alternates to the WRA Policy and Technical Boards; AND,
WHEREAS, on January 3, 2022, the Waukee City Council approved the appointment of then
City Administrator Tim Moerman as the representative and then Assistant City Administrator
Bradly M. Deets as the alternate to the WRA Policy Board (Resolution #2022-019); AND,
WHEREAS, Tim Moerman has since retired from the City of Waukee and Bradly M. Deets has
been named City Administrator, effective April 1, 2022 (Resolution #2022-097, approved by
Waukee City Council on March 7, 2022); AND;
WHEREAS, for the remainder of calendar year 2022, Mayor Courtney Clarke appoints City
Administrator Bradly M. Deets as the representative and Public Works Director/City Engineer
Rudy Koester as the alternate to the WRA Policy Board;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
4'' day of April, 2022, that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointments to the Wastewater
Reclamation Authority (WRA) Policy Board for the remainder of 2022.
