APPROVING 28E AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF WAUKEE AND THE
WAUKEE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT [WAUKEE MIDDLE SCHOOL
PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, the City is undertaking the Warrior Lane Improvements Phase 2 Project which
requires a 28E Agreement with the Waukee Community School District to allow access and
construction work in certain areas of the WMS parking lot adjacent to S Warrior Lane; AND,
WHEREAS, under Chapter 28E of the Code of Iowa, 2021, the City of Waukee, as a public
agency, may enter into an Agreement with the Waukee Community School District, another
public agency, to provide services to the mutual advantage of both agencies; AND,
WHEREAS, the Waukee Community School District has been planning certain parking lot
improvements at Waukee Middle School and recognize that having those parking lot
improvements completed as part of the Project offers construction efficiency and economies of
scale to the Waukee Community School District and City Project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
18`" day of April, 2022, that it hereby approves a 28E Agreement between the City of Waukee,
Iowa, and Waukee Community School District [Waukee Middle School Parking Lot
Improvements].
