RESOLUTION 2022-187
APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES WITH
SNYDER & ASSOCIATES, INC. [SCHOOL AND TRAIL ROUTES IMPROVEMENTS]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City desires to retain the consultant services of Snyder & Associates, Inc. for
the School and Trail Routes Improvement project; AND,
WHEREAS, the scope of services includes improvements throughout the City to improve
pedestrian and bicyclist safety and operations at signalized intersections and mid -block
crosswalks along school and trail routes. The improvements include adding leading pedestrian
interval timing, upgrading to accessible pedestrian signals (APS) pushbuttons, upgrading to
countdown pedestrian signals, upgrading to flashing yellow arrow signals, incorporation
pedestrian recall timing for trail crossings, improving some pedestrian pushbutton locations, and
adding Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacon (RRFB) crossings at some mid -block crosswalks; AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the
Agreement for Professional Consulting Services between Snyder & Associates, Inc. and the City
of Waukee, Iowa [School and Trail Routes Improvement Project] is hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approv 2"d day of May 2022.
