RESOLUTION 2022-197
AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE IOWA
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (IEDA) DESTINATION IOWA GRANT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City Council and the City of Waukee has established the expanded
development of community and leisure opportunities as a Council goal; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee and the Iowa Youth Athletic Foundation have identified the
Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) Destination Iowa Grant as a potential funding
source for construction of the project structures and related site improvements related to the
Kettlestone Central Athletic Facilities; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee has available funds to fulfill its share of obligation related to
this grant application should the grant funds be awarded.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that it hereby
authorizes the submittal of a grant application to the Iowa Economic Development Authority
(IEDA) Destination Iowa Grant program on behalf of the City of Waukee and the Iowa Youth
Athletic Foundation.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved the 9th day of May, 2022.
