RESOLUTION 2022-307
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2023-2027 INVESTOR CAMPAIGN REQUEST FOR
THE GREATER DES MOINES PARTNERSHIP
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, Waukee is a proud member of the Des Moines Metropolitan community; AND,
WHEREAS, the Greater Des Moines Partnership is a valuable economic development tool for
the City of Waukee; AND,
WHEREAS, when the Des Moines Metropolitan area benefits, the City of Waukee benefits;
AND,
WHEREAS, the spatial concentration of businesses in this area provides a regional agglomerate
economy that benefits all peoples; AND,
WHEREAS, the Greater Des Moines Partnership requests $20,000 for its 2023-2027 Investor
Campaign; the $5,000 increase being consistent with past increase levels;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
18th day of July, 2022, that it hereby approves the 2023-2027 Investor Campaign request of
$20,000 for the Greater Des Moines Partnership.
