RESOLUTION 2022-383
APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF PUBLIC
STREETS ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2022 FROM 6:00 A.M. TO 1:00 P.M. FOR THE
FIGHTING THROUGH KINSHIP 5K EVENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County; AND,
WHEREAS, Kinship Brewing Company will host a 5K event on Sunday, October 2, 2022, and
requests the temporary closing of certain public streets beginning 6:00 a.m. and ending 1:00 p.m. on
the date of the event; AND,
WHEREAS, pursuant to §364.12(2)(a), public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 191'
day of September, 2022, that it hereby approves the temporary closing on Sunday, October 2, 2022, of
NW Gettysburg Lane from NW Shiloh Circle east to its terminus beginningfiAQ.7rm. and ending 1:00
p.m., and NW Sunrise Drive from NW Georgetown Drive south and brtpitslterminus beginning
8:45 a.m. and ending 1:00 p.m.
