RESOLUTION 2022-384
AMENDING TEMPORARY PUBLIC STREET CLOSING FOR THE WAUKEE AREA
HISTORICAL SOCIETY WAUKTOBERFEST EVENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, on August 15, 2022, the Waukee City Council approved a resolution approving
certain temporary public street closings for the Waukee Area Historical Society Wauktoberfest
event scheduled for Saturday, October 8, 2022 (Resolution #2022-338); AND,
WHEREAS, on August 22, 2022, the Waukee City Council approved a resolution correcting an
error in the days of the week noted in Resolution #2022-338 (Resolution #2022-361); AND,
WHEREAS, the Waukee Area Historical Society now requests additional street closures for
their event; AND,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Code of Iowa §364.12(2)(a), public ways and grounds may be
temporarily closed by resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
19th day of September, 2022, that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Walnut Street from
5th Street west approximately 205 linear feet to an alleyway, and 6th Street from Ashworth Drive
south approximately 330 linear fee to an alleyway, beginning Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 9:00
a.m. and ending Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. for the Waukee A storical Society
Wauktoberfest event.
