RESOLUTION 2023-098
ACCEPTING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS (TRIUMPH PARK FISHING PIER PROJECT]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, on September 8, 2020, the Waukee City Council approved the construction contract and
bond for Triumph Park with Larson Construction Company, Inc., of Independence, IA (the "Contractor")
(Resolution 42020-340); AND,
WHEREAS, on April 5, 2021, the Waukee City Council approved the Triumph Park Contribution
Agreement between the Waukee Betterment Foundation (the "Foundation") and the City of Waukee
related the funding and construction of the Triumph Park Fishing Pier Project (Resolution #2021-138);
AND,
WHEREAS, on April 5, 2021, the Waukee City Council approved a construction contract with Larson
Construction Company, Inc., for the Triumph Park Fishing Pier Project (Resolution 42021-139); AND,
WHEREAS, the Contractor has fully completed the construction of the public improvements in
accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and specifications.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, that the
public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully completed in accordance
with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total Final construction cost thereof is hereby
determined to be $610,000.00, as shown in the report of the Engineer, filed with the Clerk on March 3,
2023.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved this the 6"' day of March,
2023.
