RESOLUTION 2023-136
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A 2025 EMERGENCY ONE (E-1) FIRE ENGINE
FROM BANNER FIRE EQUIPMENT, INC., OF ROXANA, IL, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$885,822.00 [WAUKEE FIRE DEPARTMENT]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the Waukee Fire Department finds it necessary to replace a fire engine purchased
in 2000 due to the 20-year expected life of the engine chassis; AND,
WHEREAS, the Waukee Fire Department recommends the purchase of a 2025 Emergency One
(E-1) fire engine through the Sourcewell group purchasing consortium, of which the Waukee
Fire Department is a member; AND,
WHEREAS, the purchase is included in the Fiscal Year 2025 Capital Improvement Program but
due to a 24- to 30-month lead time for construction, the Waukee Fire Department requests that
the purchase be approved by the Waukee City Council at this time.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
3`d day of April, 2023, that it hereby approves the purchase of a 2025 Emerepigy One (E-1) fire
engine from Banner Fire Equipment, Inc., of Roxana, IL, in the amour 5,822.00 [Waukee
Fire Department].
