Alfred Severson met with the Board at this time and ex-
plained about pUblic libraries.Letter read from John
G.Regan as to the law of pUblic libraries.Moved by
T .R.Mullins that council will pay ~>20.00 per month
for pUblic library providing that funds can be legally
transferred for the s~~e.This to be in effect for
one year from time of first payment.~econded by
G.C.Jones.Carried.All voting aye.
Mr.Thorpe of the Waukee Citizen met with the council
at this time in regard to printing proceems of the
Town Council in the Waukee Citizen.No action taken.
Moved by Mullins that council adjourn.Seconded by
Sandmier.Carried.10:30 P.M.•

•Meeting called to order by Mayor Kent.8:00 P.g.
I Councilman present Joes,Sandmier,MUllins,Davis
and Knoll.
Attorney Regan of Adel also met with the council.
The following resolution as described on a ~eparate
sheet attached hereto and made part of the minutes
of this meeting was presented by T.R.MUllins,sec-
onded by G.C.Jones and was carried by unanimous
vote of the council.
Moved by Sandmier meeting adjourn.

WHEREAS,there is now in the hands of the Treasurer,
the sum of $lS64.41,oredi ted to the F'ire FInd.or the Fire Main-
tenanoe lUnd,and
WHEREAS,said sum of money was raised for the purpoae
of sometime in the future,purohaeang ,equiping and maintaining
fi 1'e fighting apparatus,and
WHEREAS,the purpose for whioh said sum of money was
raised has oeased to exist for the reason that no water supply has
been prOVided,and
WHEREAS,there is now in the hands of the 'l'reasurer
the sum of $lSOO.OO oredi ted to the Drainage Fund,and
WHEREAS,the said sum of money was raised for the pur-
pose of paying drainage taxes,and
WHEREAS,the purpose for which said sum of money was
raised has oeased to exist:
WHEREAS,there is now in the hands of the 1'l'eaSUrer"
the sum of $603.2S,oredited to the Oemetery Fund,and
WHEREAS,said sum of money was raised for the purpose
of maintaining a oemeterY,but that the care and maintenanoe of
said oemetery has been taken over by Walnut townshiP.of said Dallas
County,Iowa,and
WBEREAS.the purpose for Which said sum of money was
raised has ceased to eXist,
WHEREAS,there is now in the hands of the Treasurer.the
sum of $1481.70,credi ted to the Grading bund and the Road Dragging
lUnd.and
WHEREAS.the sum of inoney was raised for the purpose
of grading streets and dragging same.and
WHEREAS.the sum of $1481.70 has,thrOUgh inadvertenoe,
been paid out of the General Fund for the purpose of grading and
dragging said streets,and
WHEHEAS,the purpose for which said.sum of money above
described was raised,has now oeased to exist:

be adopted.
