RESOLUTION 2023-293
RENEWING AGREEMENT WITH DENMAN & COMPANY, LLP FOR
AUDITING SERVICES FOR YEARS ENDING JUNE 30, 2022, 2023 AND 2024
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, on May 6, 2019, the Waukee City Council approved an Agreement with
Denman and Company, L.L.P. to provide auditing services for the City of Waukee during
the fiscal years 2019, 2020 and 2021 (Resolution #19-158); AND,
WHEREAS, according to the terms of the Agreement, the agreement may be subject to
renewal annually for a maximum of an additional three years, or June 30, 2024; AND,
WHEREAS, Denman and Company, L.L.P. have been thorough, efficient and
constructive in their opinions and recommendations for the City of Waukee; AND,
WHEREAS, Denman and Company, L.L.P. is providing a valuable service at a fair and
reasonable rate not to exceed $28,500, $29,200 and $29,900 respectively per year for
auditing services, plus $3,900, $4,000 and $4,100 respectively per year, if needed, for an
A133 filing; AND,
WHEREAS, other routine consulting services as required by the City of Waukee during
the fiscal years will be provided by Denman and Company, without additional fees;
AND,
WHEREAS, other non -routine consulting services as required by the City of Waukee
during the fiscal years will be provide at Denman and Company's standard hourly rate.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 10'h day of July, 2023, that it hereby approves renewal of the Agreement with
Denman & Company, L.L.P. for auditing services to be provided to the City of Waukee
for years ending June 30, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
