April 14,1930.
Special meeting of the Town Council of Waukee,Iowa.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Havis.
The following councilmen answered the roll call,Sandmier,
Cook,MUllins,McMahon.J.W.Carter being present
was sworn in as counci Lman ,
Mayor Davis appointed the following committees;
Street and Alley.I
J.C.'Sandmier,T.H.MUllins,J.W.Carter.
AUditing.
Dr.McMahon,J.G.Sandmier,T.R.Mullins.
Claims.,
S.M.Cook,J.W.Carter,Dr.McMahon.
Finance.
J.W.Carter,T.R.MUllins,J.G.Sandmier.
Fire.
T.H.MUllins,J.C.Sandmier,S.M.Cook.
City Physician.
Dr.McMahon.
Moved by Sandmier,seconded by Mullins that the Mayor
appoint S.M.Nissly as Clerk.Motion carried.
S.M.Nissly being present,accepted and qualified.
Mayor Davis appointed B.N.Overman as Marshall and
Street Commissioner for two years.
Moved by Carter,seconded by Sandmier that B.N.Ove~nan
be hired in addition to his duties as Marshall and Street
Commissioner to take care of the town at a salary of
$60.0Q'per month.Motion carried.
B.N.Overman being present accepted and qualified.
Moved by MUllins,seconded by Sandmier that the Mayor
appoint S.M.Cook as weed commissioner.Motion carried.
J.C.Sandmier left meeting at this time.
Monday night .April 28th was set as special meeting
for tax payers to be heard against raising the vaDlationoftheirproperty.
Moved by Carter that meeting adjourn,seconded by
Mullins.Motion carried.9:00 fl.M.I
