RESOLUTION 2023-359
APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF
PUBLIC STREETS FOR THE WAUKEE AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY
WAUKTOBERFEST EVENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County; AND,
WHEREAS, the Waukee Area Historical Society request the temporary closing of certain portions of
public streets for their Wauktoberfest event; AND,
WHEREAS, pursuant to §364.12(2)(a), public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 21It
day of August, 2023, that it hereby approves the temporary closing of:
• 6th Street from Ashworth Drive south to the south side of Walnut Street beginning Saturday,
October 7, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. and ending Sunday, October 8, 2023, at 12:00 a.m.
• Walnut Street from 5th Street west to the west side of 6th Street beginning Saturday, October 7,
2023, at 9:00 a.m. and ending Sunday, October 8, 2023, at 12:00 p.m.
