RESOLUTION 2023-394
APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PUBLIC STREET NAME
CHANGE FROM S AVENUE TO NW 30TH STREET
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, 10WA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the existing street runs north of Hickman Road and has no existing homes
addressed off of it, AND,
WHEREAS, as development continues to increase within the area, it is important to have
a unified and consistent street naming system in order to avoid issues with mail delivery
and emergency response; AND,
WHEREAS, staff recommends changing the existing street name of S Avenue to be
renamed to NW 30t' Street north of Hickman Road (Hwy 6)
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa in session this 5 h day of September 2023, that the public street, S Avenue, be
renamed to NW 30'' Street north of Hickman Road (Hwy 6). A copy of this resolution
shall be filed of record with the Recorders Office of Dallas County, Iowa.
