RESOLUTION 2023-395
APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PUBLIC STREET NAME
CHANGE FROM T AVENUE TO NW 20 "' STREET OR 20 "' STREET AND
AMENDING CERTAIN ADDRESSES
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the properties identified below have previously been annexed into the City
and their current addresses do not reflect the City's number grid and street naming system:
AND,
WHEREAS, as development continues to increase within the area, it is important to have
a unified and consistent street naming and addressing system in order to avoid issues with
mail delivery and emergency response; AND,
WHEREAS, staff recommends changing the following local addresses within the City in
order to be consistent with the previously approved addressing coordinate and numbering
system enacted by Waukee City Council as follows:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa in session this 5"' day of September 2023, that the local addresses as referenced
above are amended and the public street, T Avenue, be renamed to NW 201" Street north of
Hickman Road (Hwy 6) and be renamed to 201" Street south of Hickman Road (Hwy 6). A
copy of this resolution shall be filed of record with the Recorders Office of Dallas County,
Iowa.
