RESOLUTION 2023-444
ADOPTING THE CITY OF WAUKEE 2023 GAS UTILITY
EXTENSION FEE SCHEDULE FOR PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal Organization within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, in accordance with City Ordinance Chapter 110 Natural Gas Service Rates and Charges,
Section 110.03 Charges for Gas Service Installation or Extension, a schedule of fees for gas utility main
and service line extensions provided by the City of Waukee has been submitted to the City Council for
consideration and approval; AND
WHEREAS, the 2023 Gas Utility Extension Fee Schedule for Private Development is attached hereto as
Exhibit A; AND
WHEREAS, a percentage of the total cost for gas utility extension to service private development shall
be paid to the City of Waukee at the time of final plat approval or building permit approval. City staff
will determine the gas utility extension total cost based on the approved construction drawings or site plan
and Exhibit A. The following percentages of the total cost to extend gas utility to shall be paid to the City
of Waukee based on development type: 100% of the total cost for Commercial/Industrial/Government
developments, 100% of the total cost for Multi -Family Residential developments and 30% of the total
cost for Single Family Residential; AND
WHEREAS, the cost for Single Family Residential short side and long side service lines have been
reduced to 30% of the total cost to install a short side service therefore shall be charged at 100% of the
cost shown on Exhibit A;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 2nd day of
October, 2023, that the 2023 Gas Utility Extension Fee Schedule is hereby approved and shall be in
immediate effect unless otherwise noted in the schedule.
