RESOLUTION 2023-471
APPROVING AGREEMENT BETWEEN KATHLEEN LEONARD AND KAREN
ONKEN AND THE CITY OF WAUKEE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City entered into an Offer to Purchase with Kathleen Leonard and Karen
Onken to purchase a parcel of land for the purpose of construction the Southwest Elevated
Storage Tank and associated infrastructure and utilities; AND,
WHEREAS, in the agreement, Leonard and Onken were given the right to continue to use the
land and building until December 31, 2021 which was the intended project timeline; AND,
WHEREAS, the City does not plan to undertake the project prior to December 31, 2024; AND
WHEREAS, entering into this agreement allows Leonard and Onken the right to continue to use
the parcel of land and associated buildings without interference from the City;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the
Agreement between Kathleen Leonard and Karen Onken and the City of Waukee, Iowa is hereby
approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and appr the 6 h day of November,
2023.
