April 4,1932.
Regular meeting of the Town Council of Waukee,Iowa.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Davis.
The folloWing councilmen answered the roll call,Carter,MUllins,
McMahon and Cook.Absent Sandmier.
The minutes of the previous meeting and Town election were read
and approved as read.
Treasurers report was read and approved as read.
Moved by MUllins,seconded by Carter that the Treasurers yearly
report be accepted.Motion carried.
Moved by MUllins,seconded by Cook that the taxes on the following
property b~remitted;Copelands Addition,Lots 5 and 6,Block 3.Motion earried.
Moved by Mullins,seconded by Carter that the folloWing bills be
allowed and orders drawn on the Treasurer for the same.Motion
carried.

Moved by Mullins,seconded by Cook that council adjourn.Motion
carried.
New council.members present,G.E.Davis,Mayor,Tom Howe,Walter
Loose,Fred Knoll,S.M.Cook and Dr.McMahon.

The above men were sworn in by the Clerk.
The new council was called to order by Mayor Davis and nominations
were called for,for Clerk.
S.M.Nissly was nominated as Clerk by Walter Loose.No other
nominations were made,nominations were closed and on vote of the
council S.M.Nissly was elected Clerk.The following men on
committees were appointed by Mayor Davis.
Health Commissioner,Dr.Geo.McMahon 'I
Marshall and Street Cow~issioner,B.N.Overman
Street and alley committee,Fred Knoll,Sam Cook,Tom Howe
Auditing committee,Geo.McMahon,Walter Loose,S.w.Cook

Moved by Cook,seconded by Loose that the Ban~of WaUkee b~named
as a depository for Town funds not exceeding ~25,000.00.Motion
carried
Moved by McMahon,seconded by Knoll that B.N.Overman be hired at
a monthly wage of $60.00 to continue his duties as he has in the
past.This salary is to include his salary as street commissioner
and marshal,making a total wage of $60.00 per month.
Moved by McMahon,seconded by Cook that the bonds of S.M.Niasly
and B.N.Overman be continued as in the past.Motion carried.I
Moved by McMahon,seconded by Loose that the bill of Foft and
Ellsworth for the bond of F.Snow of $23.75 be paid.Motion
carried.
Moved by Cook and seconded by McMahon that the council adjourn
and meet as Board of Equalization.
Council met as Board of Equalization with the Mayor and all
Councilmen present.
E.L.Shannon,Assessor was present and read the tax books.
Moved by McMahon,seconded by Cook that the T.D.Hakes property
be lowered from 4/3200.00 to $2600.00.Motion carried.
Moved by McMahon,seconded by Cook that the tax books be accepted ,.'
as read.Motion carried.
Motion was then made to adjourn and reconvene as Town Council.
No other business appeared.It was regUlarly moved and seconded
that the council adjourn •.Motion carried.10:45 P.M.
