RESOLUTION CORRECTING SCRIVENER'S ERROR AND
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2023-507 TO CORRECT THE
AMOUNT OF THE AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO
ELITE FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS, INC. FOR BID PACKAGE #11
— FIRE PROTECTION
WHEREAS, on December 4, 2023, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2023-507 making
award of construction contracts for the Waukee Public Safety Building;
WHEREAS, in said resolution, the City Council approved making award of construction contract
to Elite Fire Sprinkler Systems Inc. for Bid Package #11 — Fire Protection in the amount of $354,700.00;
WHEREAS, the amount of the bid submitted by Elite Fire Sprinkler Systems, Inc. and the amount
the construction contract should have been awarded was $364,700.00, which constitutes a scrivener's
error that should be corrected.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WAUKEE, STATE OF IOWA:
Section 1. That the award of construction contract with regard to Bid Package #11 — Fire
Protection in Resolution No. 2023-507 is hereby corrected and amended as follows:
Contractor: Elite Fire Sprinkler Systems, Inc., of Hiawatha, IA
Amount of bid: $364,700.00
Portion of project: Bid Package #11 —Fire Protection
Section 2. That those provisions of Resolution No. 2023-507 identified herein are hereby
repealed and replaced to the extent inconsistent with this Resolution.
Section 4. That all other provisions of Resolution No. 2023-507 adopted by this Council on
December 4, 2023, are hereby approved and all actions taken by the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
ratified and confirmed.
