November 13,1933.
Special meeting of the Town Council,Waukee,Iowa.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Davis.
1 The following councilmen answered the roll call:Cook,Knoll,
Howe,Loose,and ~Mahon.
Meeting was called for the purpose of decid:j.ngwhat steps
should be taken to protect our interest of $541.66 which was
sent to Geo.M.Bechtel Co.,Davenport,Iowa fOr retirement
of the Waukee Light Bonds.This Company has taken bankruptcy
and our bond which was presented for payment was refused.
It was moved by McMahon and seconded by Cook that the Treasurer
and Town Clerk of Waukee be instructed to either file a claim
against Geo.M.Bechtel Co.or see an attorney and get his
adVise and hire an attorney if necessary.Motion carried.
Motion to adjourn by McMahon,seconded by Howe.Motion carried.
