Regular meeting of the Town Council of Waukee,Iowa.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Davis,
The following councilman answered the roll call.
Loose,Knoll,howe,Cook,and McMahan.
The minuttes of the previous meeting were read and approved
as read.The treas report was read and on motion by Loose
and seconded by Cook,the treas report was ordered back to the I
treas for correction.w~ton carried.
Moved by knoll and seconded by Loose that the following bills
be allowed and orders druwn on the treas for the same.

S.M.~issly,October salary
Iowa Power &Light Co,Street lights,
B.N.Overman,October salary
Waukee Cafe,Meals for bums

Mayor Davis appointed,Loose,IvlcMahaand Knoll as a committe
to wait on the Iowa Power &Light co in regard to getting
the rate on the streets lights reduced.
A petition of 31 signers of the town of Waukee was presented ItotheCouncilbyFloydHammondrequestingthetownCouncil
to dig a deep well in the hope,s of finding sufficent water
to supply the Towns needs.
After a long discussion it was moved by ~oose and seconded
by Cook that the Town dig a well not to eRceed in cost of
$600.00 if a suitable location can be found that will be
approved by the ~own council.The Mayor then called for a
registered vote with the result as follows.

The mayor then declared the motion carrie~.IillayorDavisappointed,Cook,McMahan and Loose,with Loose
as chairman,on a committe to select a location for the well.
Moved by Cook meeting adjorn,seconded by Loose ,Motion Carried.
