Regul~r meeting of the town council of Wauk~e,Iowa.
Meeting held in the Office of the Brenton State Bank.
Meetin~was called to order by lliayorDavis,The following
~ouncilman answered the roll call,Loose,Knoll,McMahan
Rowe and Cook.
The minuttes of the previous meeting were read and approved
as read.The treas rei)Ort was ne ad and approved as read.
Moved by Rowe and seconded by Cook that the folloWing bills be
allowed and ordnrs drawn on the treas for the same.

Councilman Loose introduced an Ordinance entitled,
BEER ORDINACE
I
An ordinance to regUlate and license the sale of beer including
the issuance of permits and fees,the conduct of places selling
beer and prescribing penalties for violation.
It was moved By Councilman,Mc"'ahan and seconded by :Gouncilman
Loose,1l That the council despense With the rUle requiring that an 00
ordinance shall be fUlly and distinctly read on three different oay~
This motion was carried by a yea and nay vote as follows.

Cook,yea
McI'.ahan,yea.
It was moved by Councilman Cook and seconded by Councilman
Mcl,iahan,that the Ordinance as read by the Clerk be adopted.
This motion to adopt the ordinance was passed by a yea and nay
vote as follows.
Loose,yea.Cook,yea.l~oll,yea,Rowe,yea,Mcfuahan,yea.
!i:he'Mayorthereupon declared the Ordinance adopted and the
title agreed to.
The clerk was instructed to have the bUdget estmmate printed
in the TIallas County news,and the Mayor set the nearing for
the same to be held on the first monday night in August
1935.I Moved by Loose meeting adjorn,Seconded by Cook,Motion carried.
