HomeMy WebLinkAbout1937-04-06-Regular Minutes148 .' April 6,1937. The council met with Mayor Davis and the following councilmen present;Young,Loose,Knoll,Howe and Kallenbach. Moved by Loose that the council adjourn as Tovm Council and meet as Board of Equalization.Seconded by Howe.Motion carried. The Mayor then declared the Council open as Board of Equalization. E.L.Shannon,Assessor,was present and read the tax books.IMovedbyYoungandsecondedbyLoosethattheAssessorsbooks be accepted as read.Motion carried. Moved by Loose and seconded by Knoll that the Board adjourn andmeetasTownCouncil.Motion carried. Mayor then declared the meeting open as Town Council,with allcquncilmenpresent. YQung offered the following resolution,which was seconded byKallenbac:t.. Be it resolved that the bottom part of the casing in the well be pulled out to the 400 foot level and that the well be plugged or blown and upper strata of water be tested forqualityandquantity. The above resolution carred. Moved by Loose,seconded by Howe that the Town emply Elmer Harsh to fix the cistern on the triangle under the supervision of W.G. Kallenbach and mom Howe.The figures to be checkeu by this com- mi.ttee and j.f found correct,have work done.Motion carried. Young left the meeting at this time.IChas.Sly was present and ask shop on the Norwood property. any official action taken. for a permit to build a'blacksmith The council gave consent without Mov ed by Kallenbach,seconded by Ej§]{llrj>[Knoll that B.N .. be.instructed to purchase a new blade for the grader.ca:rried.
