Meeting was clOl1ed,to order ,by Mayor Young. ~he fOllowing councilman Were present and answered the roll call,Loose,Knoll,Kallenback and Davis.Absent Carter. The minuttes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read.The treas report was read nad approved as read. Carte,r entered the meeting at this time. Mayor Young legt the meeting and appointed Councilman Davis to act a&Mayoruntill his return • The fol1owing bills Were read by the clerk. Motion carried. The bills of the Iowa :PwW8r &Light Co for street lights for Dec &Jan were not allowed untill some adjustment is made of the aame-, Dr Young entered the meeting at this time and took charge. John DeFord met With the council and asked about getting a licence to operate a pool and billard parlor in the Town. I Councilman Loose offered the following resoaution and moved the adoption thereof. Be It Resolved that the Town Council of Waukee,IOwa.tia.k:e steps to repeal the present pool and billard ordinance and adopt an ordinance licenseing pool and billard halls. The above resolution was seconded by Councilman Davis. The Mayor then called for a poll of the Council and the vote was a follows. Loose,Yes,Davis,Yes.Carter,No.Kallenback,No and Knoll,no. The Mayor then declared the resolution not carried. Mr Knight met with the council and gave a report as to the cahrge to be made to the school for w~t8B being furnished them.
