The meeting was called to order by Mayor Young. The following councilmen were present and answered the roll call: Carter,Dallam,Davis,Kallenbach and Knoll. The'minutes of the previous regular and special meetings were read and after a minor change in the special meeting,were approved. The Treasurers report was read,but not approved. The following bills were read by the Clerk. Darrell Linn met with the Council in regard to Ordinance #41, pertaining to the 10%of subsc.riptions being turned over to the Waukee Volunteer Fire Department.The Council authorized this to be done:'.He also inqUired as to the possibility of the Council purchasing gas masks for the Fire Department. Moved by Carter and seconded by Kallenbach that the tovm purchase two gas masks for the Fire Department and instructed Mayor Young to investigate and purchase same.Motion carried. "Moved by Kallenbach and seconded by Davis that the Council author- ize the purchase of a Riot Gun and pair of Hand Cuffs for the 'I'own Marshall to replace the ones des troyed by fire.Motion carried. The Council ordered the cleaning of the sidewalk ar-ound the Iv;yron Leonard property to be finished by February 10th. l,(ovedb;y Oar-t er-and seconded by Kallenba.ch that an order be drawn on the Treasurer in favor of the Treasurer of the Waukee Volunteer Fire Department in the amount of $42.50,which is 10%of all fire sUbscriptions received to date. lliovedby Carter,seconded by Kallenbach that meeting adjourn.
