Special meeting
Meeting called to order by the Mayor Kramer and answering the roll call was
Charles Howe,Vincent,Meyer and Richard IpLlan.Absent:B.A.Wilson and Harold
Burger.
Moved by Meyer seconded by Howe that be i.ng no bue l.ness before the Cou.ic.lL;tilt
they should adjourn and install the new council.Motion carried.
Called to order'by the Clerk,Remo l'lizzi;and the following answered the call
George Kramer,Vincent [iieyer,Dr.Charles Hm-e,Bernard Boone,Henry Leo.iar-d,
James Jonaston,
The Clerk gave the oath of office to Mayor Kramer and then N~yor Kramer installed
the Council as a group.
N~yor appointed Dr.Howe as acting Clerk.
Moved by Howe seconded by Johnston to reappoi.~t Remo Nizzi TOWil Cler~Carried.
Moved by Meyer seconded by Johns'ton to appo LrrtHannah Weil Treasurer at a
salary of $35.00 per month.Carried.
Moved by Boone seconded by Howe to appoint Amy Hoffstat to clean Town Hall at
a salary of 25.00 per month.Carried.
Moved by j·Jeyerseconded by Leonard to reappoint Paul Huscher 'Town attorney at
a salary of $700.00 per year.Carried.
Moved by Howe seconded by Johnston to reappoint Ray Bainer.Carried.
Moved by Leo.iard seconded by Johnston to designate Dallas County News as the
official paper for the Town of WaUkee,Carried.
Moved by Meyer seconded by Howe to designate Brenton Bank as offical depositoryBank.Carried.
Moved by Johnstol1 seconded by Boone to designate the 2nd Monday of eaoh month
at 8:00 at Waukee Town Hall as its offical time for regular meeting.Carried.
Moved by Johnstol1 seco:ided by Boone to adopt the following budget;
General 5500,Street 8000,Safety 5000,Sanitation 1000,Mun.Enterprise
1500,Hecreation 1200,Utilities 3000,Debt service 6440,Ag Land 65 •
Carried.
U~yor Kramer appointed Dr.Charles Howe as "~yor pro-tern.
The Council discussed the possibility of having a night man and it was
until a later meeting.
