Mayor pro-tem Howe was in the chair with the following councilmen present-- Meyer,Johnston and Leonard •.Absent--Boone. Also present at this meeting was Tom Thorpe of Thorpe Well,Henry Oaks,Engineer for the Well Treatment Plant a~d building;Jack Sparks of Sparks and Company. Moved by releyerseconded by Johnston to accept the water plant buj.Ldd.ng,Carried3toO. Moved by Johnston seconded by Leonard to instruct the Treasurer to set up a new fund with the Bond money to payoff all pledge orders and bills in regard to new well,treatment plant and buildiilg.Carried. I,lovedby Johnston seconded by "leyer to payout of the new account;all bills that are now due.Carried 2 to O.Leonard nilttvoting. Moved by Leonard,seconded by Meyer to pay Thorpe Well to date;except the 10% hold back on well ano treatment plant.Carried 3 to O. J Mayor l Febnlary 14,1966 RegUlar meeting of the Waukee Town Council was held february 14th with &ayor Kramer presiding and Councimen present:Johnston,Leonard,lile;yerand Howe.Absent:Boone. Mr.Anderson of the Iowa Development met with the Gouncil and discussed the plan- ning and zoning procedure under the Federal Government. Moved by Meyer seconded by Leonard to approve the minutes as read.Garried. Moved by Howe seconded by Johnston to approve the Treasurer's report.Garried. Moved by Howe seconded by Leonard to run a ad for night man.Garried 4 to O. Moved by Leonard seconded by Meyer to allocate $100 to the Library Board.Garried 4 to. Moved by Howe·seconded by ffohnston to approve pennit for the all WaUkee carnival.Garried. Moved by Meyer seconded by Johnston to have the Knobbe,Gallagher,Volberding and Wadsworth office do the Town audit.Garried 4 to O. Meyer instructed to check on what the School regulation in regardtto renting classroomspacewoulddemand. Kenneth L.Lame presented apetition to Mayor Kramer regarding a Special Election for a franchise to Iowa Power &Light.The &~yor turned the petition over to the attorney,Paul Huscher,to have him stUdy it.
