The Waukee Town Couneil met in Special session June 8,1966,for the purpose of
IlHearing on Annexationll as published in Dallas County news.
Meeting was called to order by k~yor Krruner and the folloViingCouncilmen were
present Howe,Meyer,and Boone.Absent Leonard and Johnston.Councilman Howe
was aeting Clerk in the absenc~of Remo Nizzi.
D~yor opened with remarks regarding growth of the Town,interstate,etc.He
stressed need for organized growth.Time is necessary for completion of studies
so decided to put out intent to annex.
I,ll'.Schell,President,Des I:IoinesGolf &Country Club was present.
ktr.John A.Blanchard,attorney for Des Moines Golf and Country Club stated
1.Authorized by Henry Gehring,h~yor of West Des Moines to say W.D.M.
is not interested now or at any time in near future to aNNex land
west of Dnllas County line road.
2.Doesn't believe club property is SUbject of possible conflict of annex-
ation by West Des Moines.
3.Club selection by lands in Section 2 was influenced partly by
tbat West Des Moines was not interested in following the club
country.
