The Waukee Toun Coucil held a specil meeting Apr~il 6,1967,with W~yor Kramer
presiding and all Counclman present Except Johnston.
The following members of the plaaning Commission were present at this meeting,
Jones,Newbauer,Keller,Brickart.
Engeer Henry Oakes,presented fuis progress study to date to the Council and
Commission.
Moved by Howe secopded by Leonard,to hire Henry Oakes to make a plan and
assessment roll for the road pro~ect of ashworth Rd and SIXX Six Street.Carried 3-0
Moved by Meyer seconded by Howe to put in cement curb and gutter from Highway 6
East down Ashwoth Road to Six Street than South down Sixth Street to South of I.H.
Paullin Driveway.Carried 3-0.
Meeting Adourned.
Tbe Waukee Town Council helds it regular meeting Aprail 10,1967 ,with Mayor
Kramer presiding and all Councilman present.
Moved by Boone,seconded by Howe,to approve minutes as read.Carried 5-0.
Moved by Meyer,seconded by Johnston,to approve treas report as read Carried
5-0.
Moved by Boone,seconded by Johnston,to enter into a contract with Jack Sparks,
and Co,in C6mmection with the prposed financing of Street Improvement Project in
the Approximate amount of·$50.000 more or less,the Sparks Co agrees t&·underwrite
said financing and to perform the following services:
1.Furnish all proceedings nescessary for theissuance of two bond issues-
General Obligation Bonds and Special Assessment Bonds.
2.Guarantee to bid par and accrued interest for 4~General Obligation Bonds.
3.Guarantee to bid par and accrued interest for 5%Special Assessment Bonds.
4.~u will issue 4~%Warrants to the Contractor inpayment of 30 day estimates,
as approved by the Town Engineer,and Spakks &Co agrees and guarantee to purchase
said Warrants from the Contractor.(Statue not Limted).
5.The Town will pay for the printing of the Bonds.
For this service,the Sparks Co will receive a fee of 3~%,said fee to be
computed against the total contract price as·awarded to the contractor.
Motion Carried 5-0.
Moved by Leonard,seconded by Howe to send Bob Sebeniecher to a Two Day School
regarding water at Iowa City.Carried 5~0.
Moved by Meyer seconded by Boone,to grant Golden Spur a Class B Beer Penilit 5-0.
Moved by Howe,seconded by Johnston to claean the inside of the fi±RK Police
Car and instruc~the drivers not to haul dogs in the Police Car Carried 5-0.
Moved by Boone,seconded by Johnston,to name Bob Sebeniecher,Utility Manager at
a Salary of $550.00 per month~Ya Howe,Boone,Johnston,Na,Meyer,Leonard Carried 3-2.
