Moved by Meyer Seconded by Boone to approve Minutes as read.Carried 3-0. Mel Dessenko,met with the Council regarding his gas bill at his Laundry Mat.The Council agreed to install ~{a meter of equal size and check the reading against the other meter to see if the reading corpond to each other. Moved by Meyer seconded by Boone to allow the Gas Dept $150.00 for a open house regarding gas.Carried 3-0. ~,oved by Boone seconded by Leonard,to allow Merle Reese,to install another Water Meter for his Nursey ,Reese agrees to pay the deposit on the extra meter and the water registered on the meter.Carried 3-0. I Moved by Johnston seconded by Meyer,to instruct the clerk to do the prelimary work regarding spraying mosquitoes by Air.Carried 3-0. The Council as pre agreement with the libray budget alloctated $500.00 to the library Board for the Library. The Council approved a Sign for the Gas Town Bo~der Station on Highway 6. Peterson,of the Oakes Engeering firm met with the Council regarding p~oject #1 of this year street program. Sidewalks,repair were disgussed by the Council and street Committee to check and report to theXEker Clerk its finding. The Council approved Regrestration fee at the state finance officers meeting to be held in Desl Moines this month. Clerk,to send out Notice to propery owners who have trees with Dutch Elm Diease. Commission members present Brickert,Nebauer,Mullins,Olsen. This meeting was a joint meeting of the Council and the Planning Commisssion. And the Town Eng Oakes and the Planner Cloud. Planner Cloud who was hired by the town of Waukee to present a plan for sub delvepment in the Town of Waukke.He presented lhis report to the Council and Planning Commission for their approval or additions. At this meeting it was decided that the Planning Commission would meet with Eng Oakes,and study the plan and make their reply to the Council. Moved by Johnston seconded by Howe to hire Dale Boone,at a Salary of $110.00 per Week.Carried 5-0.Dale Boone to Replace Paul Woods,who had resigned his position with the Town of Waukee. Moved by Howe seconded by Leonard to pay the drivers and.the gas for the trips to Adel swimming Peel.Carried 5-0. This Meeting was called regarding street procect #1.Setting and value on proper~y were the curb and gutter and widing will be made.Henry Oakes presented his report to the Council. The .Council made their study and instructed Eng Henry Oakes d to draw up the assessment Roll for Special assessement on the Curb and gutter and widing in the business district.Assessemt to be as fallow;All proper;y to be assessed for Curb and gutter in the fo~lowing streets:Curb and gutter; From Highway 6 Than East on Ashworth Rd to Sixth Street than South on Six St, to and including the Louis Bear Poperty.Widing in the business district ~ only,starting in the business district on 6th and ashworth rd than South on sixth street to Locust.Town to pay 50%of the Widing and 505%by the poperty owners abutting theporposed poject. The Coucil disgussed the pWSS±*±lJ ·Street pDoject #2 which would include East of Sixth st on Ashworth Rd to second st than So on 2nd st to the Corene Acres Sign.and North on S:i.xthand Ashworth Rd on Sixth street to Highway 6.
