Weber--------------------------------------$11.38 A Y Mc Donald------------------------------$102.61 Robert Appleagate--------------------------$4.50 Northern Natural Gas Co ------------------$2001.78 N W Bell-----------------------------------$31.95 The Waukee Town Counc.iL,held a Special Meeting May 15,1967,with Council V J Meyer in the Chair and Councilman present Johnston,Boone, Leonard,and Dr Howe arrived a few minutes late.Mayor Geo Kramer came in later. Commission members present Brickert,Nebauer,Mullins,Olsen. This meeting was a joint meeting of the Council and the Planning Commisssion. And the Town Eng Oakes and the Planner Cloud. Planner Cloud who was hired by the town of Waukee to present a plan for sub delvepment in the Town of Waukke.He presented lhis report to the Council and Planning Commission for their approval or additions. At this meeting it was decided that the Planning Commission would meet with Eng Oakes,and study the plan and make their reply to the Council. Moved by Johnston seconded by Howe to hire Dale Boone,at a Salary of $110.00 per Week.Carried 5-0.Dale Boone to Replace Paul Woods,who had resigned his position with the Town of Waukee. Moved by Howe seconded by Leonard to pay the drivers and.the gas for the trips to Adel swimming Peel.Carried 5-0. This Meeting was called regarding street procect #1.Setting and value on proper~y were the curb and gutter and widing will be made.Henry Oakes presented his report to the Council. The .Council made their study and instructed Eng Henry Oakes d to draw up the assessment Roll for Special assessement on the Curb and gutter and widing in the business district.Assessemt to be as fallow;All proper;y to be assessed for Curb and gutter in the fo~lowing streets:Curb and gutter; From Highway 6 Than East on Ashworth Rd to Sixth Street than South on Six St, to and including the Louis Bear Poperty.Widing in the business district ~ only,starting in the business district on 6th and ashworth rd than South on sixth street to Locust.Town to pay 50%of the Widing and 505%by the poperty owners abutting theporposed poject. The Coucil disgussed the pWSS±*±lJ ·Street pDoject #2 which would include East of Sixth st on Ashworth Rd to second st than So on 2nd st to the Corene Acres Sign.and North on S:i.xthand Ashworth Rd on Sixth street to Highway 6. Moved by Johnston seconded by Meyer that the followoing Resolution be aadopted: RESOLUTION ON INTERUPTIBLE GAS SERVICE TO THE WAUKEE COMMUNITY SCHOOL Whereas,this Council of the Town of Waukee,Iaowa,in Dallas County Iowa,deems it advisable that the Waukee Community Scho~l,because of its high volume of gas usage be give n a interruptible rate for gas,as he re- after set out by contract. Therefore be it ordainied by the Waukee Town Council as follow. The Town of Wauke e,in the County of Dallas.hereby agre es to sell Natural Gas to the Waukee Community School in Dallas County,Iowa, at a rate of 4~100 cf,it is definitely agreed and understood that the gas taken hereunder shall be classified as interruptible.It will cuttail any or all gas furnished hereunder in the amount required by the Town of Waukee,during and for any period of time upon two hours notice whenever so required by the Town of Waukee. I All Gas furnished by the Town of Waukee,to the Waukee CQ~unity School as interruptible G~s service shall be metered on a separate meter. All other gas used by the Waukee Community School, Firm Commerical.Metered on a separate meter or meters First 400 cu ft or less per month Next 1600 cu ft used per month Next 8000 cu ft used per month Next 20,000 cu ft pe r month Balance cu ft used per month In any month in which the user usess in excess of the rate for that month will be .08/100 cf for all gas shall be billed as as follow. $1.00 .20/100 cf .10/100 cf- .09/100 cf .08/100 cf 250,000 cu ft of gas, used. The Waukee,Council disgussed the resolution as read by CouncilmanJohnston. The Mayor put the question ·to the Council for a vote on the resolution. Ya Leonard,Howe,Meyer,Boone,Johnston. Nay None The resolution earried 5-0. Meeting adjourned I MAYOR1L~_~ The Waukee,Town Council held it regular meeting June 12,1967.With Mayor Kramer presiding and Council present:Leonard,Howe,Boone,Meyer, absent Jim Johnston. Moved by Boone seconded by Howe to approve minutes as read Carried 6-0. Moved by Meyer seconded by Boone to approve the Treas report as read. Carried i -0. Mel Dessenko,met with the Council regarding his gas bill,that was being checked by the Council re garding the re gestering of the meter. Moved by Leonard,and seconded by Boone to adust Mel Dessenko bill, b¥deducting 30%off his bill.Carried 4-0. Moved by Boone,seconded by Howe Golden Spur with provision of chapter Liquor Commission approves the same. approve the Liquor permit of the 123,of the code of Iowa and State Carried 4-0.
