HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-07-10-Regular MinutesI I I i I 45 The Waukee Town Council,held it regular me~ting July 10,the 10th of July 1967 at the Town Hall,with Mayor Kramer presiding the following Councilman present;Meyer,Boone,Leonard,absent Jonhnston&Howe. Moved by Meyer seconded by Boone,that minutes be approved as read 3-0 , Moved by Leonard,and seconded by Boone,that the Treas Report be accepted as read.Carried 3-0. The Council,disgussedthe horse ordinance regarding horses in the t own ,Mayor to check with the people that have horses within 200 ft:of any dweeling,and instruct them to move the horses out. The progress of the streets were disgussed by the Council. Moved by Meyer and seconded by Boone to pay the Claims as presented by the Clerk.Carried 3-0. Meeting adjourned.• MaYOr-~~~_~~-- Clerk-- The Waukee,Town Council,held a special meeting July 19,1967,at the Town Hall,with Mayor Kramer presiding and the following councilman present, Leonard,Meyer,Boone,Howe,absent Johnston. Mayor Kramer read a letter recived from Councilman Jim Johnston, Being that he Jim Johnston was moving out of the Town of Waukee,Iowa he was submitting this letter and resiging from the Council. Moved by Boone,Seconded by Howe to accept the resignation of Councilman Jinm Johnston.Carried 4-0. Moved by Howe and seconded by Myer to vote by ballot to fill the vancany of Councilman Jim Johnston.Carried 4-0. The Clerk passed out ballots to the Councilman to vote.The Council voted and Merle Reese recived 4 ballots for Councilman.Merle Reese was called to come to the meeting and he agrred to fill unexpired term of Jim Johnston.Mayor Kramee gave the Oath of office to Merle Reese.Me rle Reese took his place at the Council table for the fu~usiness of the meeting. The Council disgussed the need of buying a two ton truck needed by the Town. Moved by Meyer and seconded by Boone to authorize the clerk to buy a 2 ton truck and not to exceed $850.00.Carried 5-0. Moved by Leonard,and seconded by Heese to hire Bugge r Const to move the fire hyrid on 6th and Locust at a cost not to exceed $100.00 Carried 5-0. The Council worked on the budget for the year 1968,
