Special Meeting July 29th
Meeting called to order by Mayor Chas W.Howe and all Councilman
This meeting was for the hearing of the prposed street #1 1968.

~Dr Swanson met with the Council regarding Sewer Lagoon,and what is.being done
to correct the odor.
Moved by Meyer seconded by Boone to hire Oakes Erngeering to do a study on our Lagoon and
see what he can come up with to correct the situation.\
IBud Grey met with the Council regarding the VacaneY resulted in Charles Davis moving to
Texas.He would be interested in the vancy.
The situation regarding the Mr McAllister attorney in Washington D.C.on the Gas council
Moved by Meyer seconded by Boone to instruct the town attorney to come to a final agreement
by offering them 600.00 4-0.
The Council planned the following budget for the Coming year.
Amount neeessary to be raised by taxation 1969
General $6500.00
Street $12,000.00
Public Sagety $6,000.00
Sanitation $1,000.00
Municipal Ent $1500.00
Recreation $1200.00
Utilities $4500.00
Debt Service $9369.00
$treet Ag Land $75.00
Total $42,144.00
Moved by Davis seconded by Applegate to instruct the Clerk to pUblish and have the
hearing on the budget on 20th August 1968.
Moved by Boone and seconded by Applegate to have Hegler make a study on the gas extending.

of hearing and setting date for bidders and form of contract covering street program
no #1 1968.Meeting set for August 21,1968 at 8PM for heari ng &letting.
Moved by Boone seconded by Applegate to set August 21,1968 at 8 O'Clock for hearing and
letting and put ad in Register.Carried 3-0.
The Council disgussed the Bank Building but no action
