The ~aukee Town Council held its regular meeting November 11,1968,with Mayor
Howe~9resinging and all Councilman present.
iJoved by Meyer seconded by Apple~aoe to Approve minutes as read.Carried 5-0.
¥~s ailen Howe was appointed to library ooard replacing Mr Turek.
Moved by P~es seconded by Boone to purchase a 1965 Dod6e Van from Viaukee kotors
for ~1265.00.Carried 5-0.I Mrs Walt Hinkson met with the Council re6arding a vapor light on highway 6.
the Council agreed to install one •
Mayor Howe to meet with town Em;loyess and disguss problems'if any.
The Council made the followin4 changes to the zoning ordinance,Section 707
omitted,on page 17 add apts house,page 19,add out doors.

Councilman Boone intrDduced an Ordinance Resolution en~iltled ZDning Ordinance
for the TDwn Df Waukee,IDwa in Dallas County,Iowa:
It was moved by Counc'iLaan Meyer,and seconded by Councilman Boona,that the
Ordinance Resolution Entiltled "Zoning Ordinance fDr the Town of Waukee,Iowa
be now read by the ~.TQwn Clerk.The MayDr put the question Dn the motion,and
the roll being called,the followDing nemaed Councilman vDted Ayes ~eyer,Rees.
Applegate,Gardner,BODne,Nays NDne;Carried 5-0.~nereupon the Mayor declared
the ~Dtion Carried.
It was·moved by Councilman Applegate and seconded by Councilman }ardner that the
Ordinance zoning Ordinance ,that the rule reqUiring to be read on three separate
times and days to be dispensed with.MDtion Carried 5-0.

the Clerk to post upon recieiving Ordinance from Engeeirs.

It was moved by CDuncilman Applegate and seconded by Councilman Rees,that the
clerk now read the?lan Entiltled Comprehensive .Planning Program,The i\~yor put the
question to the Council and the fDllowing Councilman vDted Ayes,Meyer,Applegate,
Rees,Boone,Gardiner.The MDtion Carried 5-0.
It was mDved by Coucilman Boone and seconded by CounciL~an Gardiner ,that the

Moved by Rees seconed by BDone that the Plan tD Establish the CDmprehensive Plan
for the Town of Waukee,Iowa be put now in final passage and adoptiDn of a±said
