Clerk was instructed to contact Henry Oakes about duing a study on 3rd street. I II Notice of meeting for issuance of Park Bonds.PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 23.12 and Chapter 408A of the Coae of Iowa that the Town Council of the Town of Waukee,in Dallas County,Iowa will meet on the 14th day of April, 1969,at the Town Hall,Waukee,Iowa at 8:00 O'Clock P.M.,C.S.T.,for the purpose of instituting proceedings and taking action for the issuance of $36,000 Park Bonds of said Town,oearing interest at a rate not exceeding five per cent (5)per aumun, for the purpose of paying the cost of acquisition and of making permanent improve- ments to certain real estate for park purpose for said Town. At any time before t~e date of said meeting a petition or,petitions setting forth objections to the issuance of said Donds may be filed in the office of the Clerk of said Town as permitted by law; By order of the Town Council,this 25th day of March 1969. Section 3.That alL resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed and this resol~tion shall be effective forthwith upon its passage and approval. April 14,1969 Regular meeting of the W§ukee Town Gouncil was held April 14th with Mayor pro-tern Meyer presiding and all Councilmen present.Mayor Howe ca~e in later •. AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE ANIMAL RESCUE L.ii;AGUEOF IOWA AI'JDTHE TOWN OF WAUKEE,IOWA Jan.1969 to Dec.31,1969 All dogs running contrary to ordinance,may be picked up by the Animal Rescue League and be held for a period of 7 days.Impounding fees not to exceed $5.00 plus $1.50 .pez'day board,or any part of. Biting dogs will be picked up and impounded,for 14 days,at the cost of $1.50 per day to the town of Waukee,plus time and mileage,if not claimed by the owner. If the dog is claimed by the owner,after the 14 days,the fee will be $21.00 plus $4.00 for a Rabies innoculation and License fees. All dogs"returned to owner,all impounding fees,boarding fees,plus the license and penal~J'must be PAID for by the owner. $1.00 for males and spayed females.$1.00 for unspayed females, Unclaimed dogs,after a 7 day holding period,may be put up for Adoption or be humanely destroyed.Then the town of .aukee will be billed $1.50 per-day,per- bead,or,$10.50 per-dog plus time arm mileage. All dead dogs,cats,etc.will be picked up for $1.00 per head plus time and mileage. All License and Penalty money collected by the League,must be turned over to the clerk when the clerk calls for such or deducted from the billing at the end of the month, Charges of $2.00 per bour and 1O¢per mile to and from,On call unless at a later date your town wish a scoeduke patrol weekly or monthly. Moved by Boone seconded by Applegate to enter into an agreemeu"betwwen and among the Town of Altoona,Iowa,the CiLy of Ankeny,Iowa,The Town of Bondurant,Iowa, the Town of Carlisle,Iowa,the Town of Clive,Iowa,the City of Des Moines,Iowa, the Town of Grimes,Iowa,the Town of Norwalk,Iowa,the Town of Pleasant Hill, Iowa,the County of Polk,Iowa,the City of Urbandale,Iowa,The county of Warren, Iowa,the City of West Des Moines,Iowa,:llheCity oi Windsor Heights,Iowa,the Town of Waukee,Iowa(all parties being hereinafter called the "Municipalities"), there is hereby formed the Des Moines Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency~Here- inafter called the "Agency"),consisting of elected representatives of the govern- ing bodies of the Municipalities which said Municipalities represent a majority of the local governmental jurisdictions comprising the Des Moines metropolititan area. Session on 7th day of May,1969,pursuant to canvas the results on the 6th May special The meeting was called to order by Vincent J Meye r Mayor pro-tem,in the Chair: and the following named Couhilmen were present:Merle Rees,Daniel Gardne r,Robert Apple gate, A bsent Bernard Boone,and Dr Chas W.Howe. Total ballots cast 353,of which 256 votes were cast Yes and 93 votes were cast No and 4 ballots were cast blank or defectively marked.It is hereby OCK determined a nd declared that the aforesaid proposition was duly carried,and it is hereby ordered that the results of this canvass shall be duly entered on the records in the office of the Town Clerk.and minutes attachedI ---~------~~ Regular Council Meeting May 12,1969 Regular Council meeting was held May 12,1969 at the Waukee,Town Hall with Mayor Howe presiding and all Couclmen Pre sent. Members of the JC met withe the Council regarding ceelebration in Sept. M Dennit Mcllinne-iY'0et with the Council regarding water on third Street. Moved by Rees and seconded by Applegate to meet with Township Trustees regarding Muta 1 fire equipmen t T01<U share to be 50%.Carried 5-0. Moved by Rees seconded by Gardner to Sponser Roller skating this summer at a cost of $40.00 per night.Carried 5-0.II.file. Moved by Boone and seconded by Gardner to purchased a Federal 10 Hr 3 Way Fire Siren at a cost of $2700.00 Carried 5-0. The Council disgussed permission was grante d to up keep.- the parking in front of the Vaugh Apts on Walnut Streets and repair pakking,and responsibilty would becone to the owner for Mayor was instructed to talk to Irvin Paullina about platting his tract into lots.
