This meeting was called regard the park. Moved by Boone and seconded by Garland to instruct the Clerk to do what is needed to to get plans and materials to Commerce Commission to get grant for the Town Park.4-0. Moved by Applegate seconded by Gardiner to approve minu.es as read.Carried. Ronald Olson and Joe Neubauer,members of'the Planning Commission,met with the council. LaVerne Jones,Wayne Erdman and Clair Eason met with the council regarding the proposed park. John Carter met with the council to discuss assessmenL on 6th street. Moved by Rees seconded by Gardiner to approve 17 additional gas service lines to be installed at Jo Lane Mobile Estate. WiL~iris and Bussard,Architects,presented the lay-out for the proposed park to the council.M Moved by Applegate seconded by Rees to approve preliminary plat #4 in Corene Acres. Carried. The council discussed Chapter 98 of the Code of Iowa on "Cigarettes &Tobacco."98.2,I 98.3,98.4 and 98.5 will be enf'oroed. Moved by Applegate seconded by Rees to grant cigarette permit to Golden Spu~,Nizzi Brother~,Jackson Grocery,Edts Tavern,McClure.Skelly and Uptown Cafe.Carried. Moved by Rees seconded by Applegate to pUblish in the Dallas County News the sale of $36,000 Park Bonds to be sold on June 30,1969.Carried.
