The mayor called for any objections.No objections were filed,written or oral. Moved by Applegate seconded by Rees that the budget as published in the Dallas County News August 20,1969 be adopted.Carried 5 to O. Amount necessary to be raised by taxes: General Street Public Safety Sanitation Municipal Enterprises H.ecreation 7,000 12,000 6,000 1,000 2,00J 2,500 Utilities Debt Service Ag Land 5,000 19,058 100 Total $54,658 Meeting adjourned. Sept.8,1969 The regular meeting of the Waukee Town Council was held September 8,1969 with Mayor Meyer presiding. Councilmen present:Applegate,Baer,Boone,Gardiner,and Rees. Moved by Applegate and seconded by Baer to dispense with the reading of the minutes because each member had received a copy by mail.Carried. Attorney Van Werden,representing John Carter,met with the council concerning street assessment on street project #2 1968 on 6th strreet.No action taken. The council discussed law enforcement with the county attorney.There was a long discussion held on this matter. The councildikcussed the possibility of asking the state to locate a highway patrolman to live in Waukee. Eugene Dluhos met with the council to 'express his gratitude to them for the gas lite and grill given to the Centeenial Committee. Moved by Baer and seconded by Boone to have Culver engineering determine and check the depth of flow throughout the area to determine where and if excessive infiltration exist continually.Cost to be approximately $225.00.Carried. Moved by Applegate seconded by Boone to approve 3 phase electric line on 4th Street.Carried. The following resolutions were disoussed by the council and they instructed attorney,Paul Huscher,to draw up the neccessary resolution and present to council; Resolution on celebrated Centennial on September 6 and 7th,1969. Resolution on naming municipal park the Centennial Park. Ordinance amending The Land Subdivision Regulations. Next regular council meeting Tuesday October 14,1969 at 7:00. Meeting adjourned.
