The regular meeting of the Waukee Town Council was held October 14,1969 with
Mayor Meyer presiding and councilmen Baer,Boone,Gardiner and ~ees present.

Jaycee members met with the council to discuss projects that they might be able to
help with.Jaycee group will layout roadway.Remo Nizzi,Cler~,to contact other
organizations to see what projects they have underway;so that we may have a co-
ordinated program for tne park.
Mr.RexEads,assistant director of Central Iowa Regional Planning,expliioed services
of Commission.The solid waste disposal program discussed.
I.e Roy WOLfe repres~Oi;ed J .C.'s to discuss program of community organization on I
building swimming pool and community buiLding.This is now being handled by
Centennial Committee.
Motion by Baer seconded by Rees to approve the minutes as prinved.
Resolution on naming of park was read by Baer.Motion by Rees and seconded by
Boone to accept resolution as read.Carried.

Ordinance for sidewalks were discussed.Gil Stanley reports that engineer has
not been out to locate area for sidewalks.

The West One-Half of the Southwest Quarter (W t SW i)of Section 34,Township
79 North,Range 26 West of the 5th P.M.,Dallas County,Iowa,lying South of
the railroad right of way,and the East One-Half of the Southwest Quarter
(E t Sit)lest of the Genter of the Highway and South of the railraod right
of way in Section 34,Township 79 North,Range 26 West of the 5P.M.,Dallas
County,Iowa,All consisting at 72 acres,more or less,also described as:

Centennial Resolution (Capsules)
WHEREAS,the Town of WaUkee,Dallas County,Iowa celebrated i.s Centennial
on September 6 and 7,1969,and,
WHERiAS,apart of said celebration consisted of the deposit of two time
capsules,one to be opened in 100 years being placed on the bottom,and one
to be opened in 50 years being placed on top,
BE IT,THEREFORE,RESOLVED:
That the Town of _aukee,Dallas County,Iowa,shall open the time capsule
designated to be opened in fifty years,in the year 2019 A.D.,and shall
open the time capsule designated to be opened in 100 years in the year 2069
A.D.,and that this instruction be preserved by making it.a part of the
.minutes of the proceedings of the Council of the Town of Waukee,Iowa,and
that this resolution be accompanied by a diagram with measurements to fixed
markings or monuments sufficient to enable said time capsules to be located.

An ordinance amending The Land Subdivision Regulations or.the Town or
WaUkee,Iowa,Article VLLL,Section 802.1.
Be it enacted by the Council of the Town of Waukee,Iowa:
SECTION 1.That Section 802.1,Article Vlll,of the Land Subdivision
Regulations of the Town of Waukee,Iowa,which now reads:
14802.1 The subdividers shall install or cause to be installed sidewalks
on each side of surfaced streets (for the full length ot blocks).Sidewalks
shall be a minimum of four (4)feet wide and located in the street right-of-way
with the outer edge one (1)foot from the right-of-way line."It is hereby
amemded by striking therefrom the words Uwith the outer edge one (1)foot from
the right-of-way line,1I aud inserting in lieu thereof,the words "with the
outer edge fifteen (15)feet from the curb of streets running parallel with
