were:iilliam Davis,W.E.Gilham and Paul D.Morris.Clerks--Janet Mullen,
Bettie Howe and Mary Cavner.

On November 5,1969,Mayor Vincent Meyer,not being a canidate for election,and
Remo Nizzi,ClerK of the Town of WaUkee,had a canvass of theelection.Results
of the canvass was the same as registered in the poll book by the judges and clerks.
Elected to serve as Mayor for a two year term was Lowell Camarigg.Councilmen to
serve two years are:Bernard Boone,Dr.Ronald Blessing,Ross Nelson,Daniel
Gardiner and Merle Rees.

Regular meeting of The Waukee Town Council was held November.lB,1969 at the
Town Hall at 7:30 p.M.Mayor Meyer presiding and Councilmen Boone,Applegate,
Gardiner,and Rees present.Absent Baer.
Moved by Apple~ate seconded by Rees to approve the minutes as read.Carried.
Clerk was instructed to talk to Engineer Henry Oakes about sewer on Gray a~nue.
Moved by Gardiner seconded by Rees to pay SpiLlers $438 for Road at park.Carried.
Moved by Rees seconded by Boone to pay tution for Dennis McFall to go to school.
Carried.
Seeding of Centennial Park was tabled until later date.
Putting a street light on ~th street was discussed.Clerk to chekk with Paullin
about extending south School street.
I Councilman Applegate introduced the follOWing amendment to the salary ordinance
of Councilmen and Mayor pro-tem --Councilmen $6.00 per meeting,Mayor pro-tern
$12.00 per meeting.Carried 3 to O.Gardiner not voting.
Moved by App+egate and seconded by Eees that the rule reqUiring the reading of
amendment on Councilmenls salary ana Mayor pro-tem salary three times be dispensed
with.Carried 3-0.Gardiner not voting.
Moved by Applegate seconded by Rees that the amendment on ralslng the saialY of
Councilmen and Mayor pro-tem be adop"ed.Carried 3 to O.Gardiner not voting.
Whereupon the Mayor declared said amendment duly adopted.

MAYOR PRO TEM?ORE,AND COuNCILMEN OF THE
TOWN OF WAuKEE,IOWA
Be it Enacted by the Council of the Town of Waukee,Iowa:
SECTION 1.Ordinance No.repea~ed.Ordinance No.__
hereby repeated.

SECTION 2.Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repeated.
SECTIQN 3.Mayor's Salary.The salary of the ~~yor shall be $500.00 per I
annum payable in equal monthly installments.
SECTION 4.Mayor Pro Tempore Salary.The salary of the Mayor pro tempore
shall be $12.00 for each meeting of the Council to which he attends and acts as
Mayor pro tempore.
SECTION 5.Councilmen's Salary.The salary of each Councilman shall be
$6.00 for each meeting of the Council which he attends.
SECTION 6.Saving Clause.If auy section,provision,or part of this
ordinance shall be adjUdged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall
not affect the validHy of the ordinauce as a whole or any section,provision,
or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 7.When Effective.The ordinance shall be in effect after its
final passage,approval and pUblication as provided by law.
Passed by the Council on the lOth day of November,1969,and approved this
lOth day of November,1969.
